They say a picture speaks a thousand words and it is always exciting to find images of our ancestors. Photographs have been around for over a hundred and fifty years but until the 1960s, most people's family pictures were in black and white or in sepia.
For those people who would like the chance to see what their ancestors may have looked like in colour, Aries Research offers a hand tinting service together with a basic level of digital image restoration.
Work of this nature is charged on an hourly basis. To obtain an estimate on how long it would take to enhance a photograph in your collection, please Contact us attaching a digital copy of the photograph, preferably scanned to at least 300 dpi.
If you do not have a scanned copy of the image, we can create this. Original photographs need to be sent to us by registered mail. Please contact us for further information.
